Seeking the best teaching staff for its students, Widener University boasts a celebrity faculty member for its law school – Vice President Joe Biden. Though currently on sabbatical, Biden has never missed a semester of teaching, and showed a longstanding commitment to Widener Law and its students. For nearly two decades, VP Joe Biden has been an adjunct faculty member of Widener University's Law School. He has taught a seminar on constitutional law that is annually one of the most popular seminars offered. In 2008, a group of lucky students got to visit Senator Biden on the job in Washington DC, shortly before he was elected Vice President by Obama's office.

About VP Joe Biden

Joseph "Joe" Robinette Biden Jr. was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1942 as the eldest child of a working class family that valued community service.

Biden received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware, where he studied history and political science. He earned his JD from Syracuse University Law School in 1968 and went on to become a six-term senator. Biden was elected to the Senate in 1972 at the age of 29; he was the youngest senator in modern history (and fifth youngest overall).

In his career, VP Biden is known for his vibrant personality, determination, and bipartisan approach.
