Learning and intellectual resources
Wolfgram Memorial Library
Its imposing size, unusual triangular shape and pivotal location, make it the physical as well as the intellectual center of the University. The library, managed by a team of 10 librarians and 30 staff, has an extensive collection of print, periodical, e-books and journals, audiovisual and multimedia materials, and on-line services.
Open 7 days a week during semester, as late as 11.30pm Sundays to Thursdays.
Science and Engineering labs
Students taking science and engineering learn in Widener University's Kirkbride Hall Wing - a state-of-the-art, 12-million dollar facility, featuring 13 project labs and 10 teaching labs. Highlights include high-end computer workstations, water treatment lab, soils/foundations lab, chemical engineering reactions lab, mass spectrometry and atomic spectroscopy lab, physical chemistry lab, organic and biochemistry labs, and an aerodynamics lab with a wind tunnel!
Widener Art Museum
Host to student exhibits and shows, the Art Gallery exhibits the work of contemporary artists and the University's collection of 18th, 19th and 20th Century American and European paintings as well as African and Oceanic pottery.
The University's Observatory offers first-hand experience in viewing planets, stars, nebulae, clusters, and galaxies using a 40cm computer-driven Meade Cassegrain reflecting telescope. Several smaller, 30cm telescopes are also used.
The Widener campus and all residence halls are integrated into the Widener University Network, providing computing, information, network, and telephone services to the entire campus community. Students can access both hard-wired ports and the wireless network.

Sports and fitness facilities
Widener University prides itself on the range of options it provides the students to ensure a healthy and active life while at University.
The 1850m2 state-of-the-art fitness center is equipped with a full range of weights and strength machines, as well as aerobics rooms, a 7m rock climbing wall, and on-site athletic training facilities.
Schwartz Athletic Center
Gives students access to a gymnasium, weight room, multi-purpose field house with a new resurfaced floor and a championship size 8-lane swimming pool. It is home to the basketball, volleyball, and indoor track teams as well as Widener's athletic administration and coaching staff offices.
Adjacent to Schwartz Center, with dugouts, bleachers, scoreboard, press box, three batting cages, four pitchers mounds and the same grass used by Philadelphia's professional baseball team!
Home to Widener's American football, soccer, lacrosse, and outdoor track and field teams. The stadium has a turf field, 8-lane, synthetic-surfaced track, and lights for late evening matches and seats over 4,000 spectators.
Edith R Dixon Field
Home to the University's field hockey and lacrosse squads, with artificial turf, lights, and a new scoreboard.
